Angel Groups and Syndicates
How do people choose them? I asked Twitter...
Angel investing doesn’t have to be done alone.
In fact, many angel investors join syndicates or angel groups to get more deal flow and save time on due diligence.
But how do you find which one to join?
If you ask me, I’ll just tell you to join VITALIZE Angels 😜
I know, I know.
I’m biased.
So I took to Twitter to give you some ideas for finding other angel groups and syndicates (And break my heart in the process 💔).
Here’s what I asked:
Angel Investors:
How did you choose which syndicates or angel groups to join?
And, thankfully, the wonderful people of Twitter responded.
Track Record, Feedback, and Diligence
1) Past investments track record, 2) member feedbacks, 3) level of diligence and transparency showcased

Syndicates vs. Angel Groups
A syndicate is track record based open fund. An Angel group is about collective deal flow and due diligence + social. Why do so many angels start without an Angel group? @TCALosAngeles as saved me from my trigger happy enthusiasm more times that I care to share.

Find a Full-time Lead
Just join many and do some cherry picking. As a fulltime syndicate lead, I advice you to focus on syndicates that have a fulltime lead (and not the ones that do it as a side hussle). More time for DD and portfolio support. But I’m biased :)
